"I try to focus on being mindful and enjoying every moment, whether that is at work, or during my free time. To find those interesting moments in a project, that may seem small at first but can help us deliver amazing outcomes, has to be done thoughtfully, instead of rushing through tasks. It's been great to continue my education in landscape here at TCL!"

About

Michelle brings her distinct lens on landscape architecture and urban design to our Melbourne studio projects. She believes that good planning can help heal and connect people with nature. Michelle got her start in the field through a project done during her university days that involved redesigning a pedestrian bridge in Hong Kong. She began to see and appreciate the importance of spatial design in helping cities thrive as places that not only function but are also places of connection.

She is energised by different ideas, viewpoints, and working with diverse people and backgrounds. Learning about the stories of the places, as well as the latest technology, trends, and future movements of cities, creates a rewarding experience that inspires her work.

Having joined TCL in 2022, Michelle has been involved in several typologies of work, community engagement activities, and contributes to the studio's atmosphere of collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
