Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture is at the core of TCL’s practice. We design landscapes that respond to context, Country, climate and community, creating places that are resilient, distinctive and enduring. Our work spans public realm, parks, gardens, cultural landscapes, education, tourism, recreation and major urban precincts, from early concept through to detailed design and construction.

Urban Design

TCL works across the scale of streets, precincts and cities to shape connected, legible and people-focused urban environments. Our urban design approach considers movement, public life, landscape systems, built form interfaces and long-term adaptability, helping to create places that are both functional and memorable.

Masterplanning

We develop masterplans that establish clear spatial, landscape and movement frameworks for complex sites and precincts. Our approach brings together environmental, cultural, social and operational considerations to guide long-term development, staging and investment while maintaining a strong and coherent vision for place.

Placemaking

TCL approaches placemaking through the design of environments that support identity, activity, belonging and everyday use. We work with the physical, cultural and social qualities of a place to create spaces that feel distinctive, inclusive and connected to their context, rather than relying on activation or programming alone.

Engagement + Co-Design

TCL uses engagement and co-design to better understand the people, values and lived experience that shape a place. We work with clients, communities, stakeholders and Traditional Owners to inform design thinking, test ideas and build shared understanding throughout the design process. Our approach is tailored to each project and focused on ensuring engagement meaningfully influences design outcomes.
